Why Isn't The President Upset?

The United State's Chief Weapons of Mass Destruction Searcher, David Kay, told the Congress today that there are no WMDs that he could find in Iraq. He also went on to say that our intelligence agencies were wrong in their assessment about Iraq's weapon program. Kay said that the United Nations weapons program worked and Saddam destroyed whatever weapons he had years before now.

Over three thousand Americans are either dead or wounded, thousands and thousands of Iraqi citizens are dead and many more thousands are maimed. Also, America is now stuck in Iraq and we are losing almost two soldiers killed and ten wounded every day.

We went to war because President Bush claimed that at any time now a mushroom shaped could be seen rising over an American city because Saddam Hussein had nuclear weapons.

The Bush administration told us just how many tons of biological weapons and how many liters of chemical weapons Iraq possessed. They also stated that they knew right where these weapons were in Iraq.

So with that information, America couldn't wait another day longer and George Bush got his War.

Now it comes to our attention that President Bush's information was wrong and we had the time to wait and use the United Nations to make sure Iraq had no weapons to hurt us with. Even with Kay's report the President of the United States is not upset. It is almost as if he doesn't care that he was hood winked.

The Democrats and some Republicans including John Mc Cain want an Independent Commission set up to find out what went wrong, but Bush and the Senior Republican Congressional Leadership say no. Why?

Even with this new information, just last week Vice President Dick Cheney was still telling the world about two trailers found in Iraq months ago, that he says prove Weapons of Mass Destruction. David Kay repeated the assessment made by every organization that has looked at these trailers. They were constructed to inflate weather balloons with helium.

Why would the Administration not want to find out what went wrong with our intelligence agencies? Why would they keep stating falsehoods about weapon programs in Iraq? Something is very wrong here and we better find out what that is and soon or we will be starting more wars on false information.

Remember, George Bush says that the United States has the right to attack any country we even think might harm us. So it is imperative that we have the Intelligence gathering capability that can give us a honest assessment about other countries and their weapons.
