Who Gave Us The Right To Kill?

If you kill my father or my mother, if you kill my husband or my wife, if you kill my sister or my brother, or if heaven forbid, you kill my child, or even my best friend down the street, I will hate until the day I die.

I might not have the means nor the opportunity to get back at you, but if ever I meet someone who can or even hear of him, I will offer him shelter, food, any money I can gather, and maybe, just maybe, I will offer my son or daughter to help him get back at you.

For years we, you and I, and our government have been building up hate all around this world, because in each and every war we have, we kill innocent people. Women, children, the infirmed, the loved ones of millions of people have been killed by our military.

Some how, our United States Government has decided we have the right to kill whoever we want, because we are trying to do good things. Look at Iraq. George Bush and Dick Cheney and Donald Rumsfeld believe that we have some sort of right from God to kill little kids and their mothers, because what we are really trying to do is kill terrorists.

Bush will tell you that we don't like killing the little kids we do, but to protect our shores, some innocent people will have to die. Our safety here in America is way more important that the lives of a few Muslims in Iraq. Remember we are a Christian Nation and we can go to heaven and we all know that Muslims are going to hell because they don't believe in Jesus Christ, so it is better to protect Christians in America and if it costs some Muslims their lives in Iraq, who really cares?

Some how we have lost track of what is "just" and what is good. George Bush will tell you that we are in Iraq to bring those people freedom and democracy. What kind of freedom are we bringing to the man whose wife and son we have killed? What about all the children whose fathers we have killed or how about the husbands we tortured and humiliated in the prisons we ran over there? Do you think they will think about their freedom and thank us?

Right here in America we have thousands of Catholics who were abused by Priests telling us that they have had a life time of trouble because of it. So do you think young Iraqi men are any different? Don't you think those we sexually abused in Iraqi prisons will hate us forever?

How many pregnant women do we get to "accidently" kill for every terrorist we kill? Five, ten, how about twenty five?

How many children do we get to maim? How many little boys have we blown the arms off of? How many little arms and legs have we taken in our war on terror? Are we not committing acts of terror every time we kill or maim an innocent child or their parent?

Do you really think Jesus Christ condones what we are doing to the children of Iraq? Do you really think we are a "Christian" country?
