George Bush Is Living In Never Never Land

I could imagine George playing the title role in Peter Pan and I now truly believe the man thinks he can fly. This week he told America that even though he screwed up big time in Iraq and tens of thousands of innocent people have been killed while his forces were looking for imaginary weapons, the American voter has exonerated him from any wrong doing.

The Washington Post reports, "President Bush said the public's decision to reelect him was a ratification of his approach toward Iraq and that there was no reason to hold any administration officials accountable for mistakes or misjudgments in prewar planning or managing the violent aftermath.

Most American's thought we were voting for a President and when we were voting, Bush and his administration were still talking about Iraq's Weapons of Mass Destruction, like they would still be found. It has been reported that even though the search for those weapons is over and none were found, many Bush supporters believe that they are still in Iraq.

George Bush said, "The American people listened to different assessments made about what was taking place in Iraq, and they looked at two candidates, and they choose me."

Now George thinks because he beat John Kerry who agreed almost on everything George was doing in Iraq, everything wrong with this war is OK with the American people. People in the Bush administration out and out lied to America, but that is OK, because George won the election.

We have tortured and killed many innocent Iraqis, but that is OK, because we reelected George Bush.

Our government distorted facts and hid contrary reports, but that is OK, because we reelected George Bush.

We went to war in Iraq to get rid of the WMDs, then it changed to regime change and getting Saddam out of there. Then it went to bringing democracy to the country. Now Bush says that we must stay and train Iraqi troops until, who knows how long?

George Bush now feels that he can do anything. He feels that because he was reelected, anything that may have been wrong with his first term is fine with us because we reelected him.

Tomorrow I go to the Military Funeral of another one of Bush's mistakes. Another young soldier killed in Iraq and his family will suffer their loss. Every day there are more and more Bush mistakes as other young Americans are killed and wounded, but hey, that's OK, because we gave George this second term.

George Bush knows in his mind that he can lose as many fine young Soldiers and Marines as it takes to make his vision of the world come true. This winning of a second term by George Bush, has given the world another leader who will spill as much blood as he thinks it will take to give him his place in history.
