George Might Get Us All Killed

President Bush had a good friend in General Pervez Musharraf of Pakistan. He is such a good friend that George is authorizing the sale of F-16 fighter jets that are capable of delivering nuclear bombs to him.

You might remember General Musharraf. He is the man, who took over his country in a military coup, disbanded Parliament, and tore up the country's constitution.

Pakistan is the country where Osama bin Laden lives. Pakistan is the country that marketed centrifuges to Iran that are essential for a nuclear weapons program. Pakistan is the country that marketed the engineering need to build a nuclear bomb to both Iran and Libya.

But, remember General Musharraf is George Bush's friend, so America will sell him fighter jets so that he can keep India at bay. It was the President's own Father, who stopped the sale of jets to Pakistan back in 1990 after that country came out with its first nuclear weapons.

The Los Angeles Times reports, "The White House says the F-16s are a reward to Islamabad for its help in disrupting terrorism networks, despite a decade of Pakistan's strong support of Al Quaeda and the Taliban government in Afghanistan.

They also report, "We sabotaged negotiations with North Korea by telling allies that Pyongyang had supplied nuclear material to Libya even though the Bush administration knew that the country of origin of those shipments was our "ally," Pakistan."

Probably the real reason that President Bush is "rewarding" Musharraf with this sale, is that Lockheed Martin would have had to shut down its F-16 production line due no jet sales. It doesn't seem to matter that Pakistan was a democracy and now is a dictatorship and that Pakistan has been selling its nuclear technology ever since Musharraf stole the government, nor does it matter that Osama has been living there since just after the 9/11 attack, George Bush is still going to sell this powerful weapon.

Pakistan has tested its nuclear weapons, its neighbor, India has tested its bomb, and they both dislike each other. America and George Bush see an opportunity to sell more weapons to a third world country and we do.

Just this month we got on the European Union because they wanted to sell weapons to China and we said that would make the world less safe. George is all for making the world safer, unless there is buck to be made.
