Hillary Clinton Makes the Same Mistake Kerry Did

It was almost impressive when Hillary Clinton stood up this week and said, “I take responsibility for my vote.” Senator Clinton was talking about her vote to circumvent the Constitution, and give George Bush the power to go to war in Iraq. She went on to say, “I. along with a majority of Americans expect the president and his administration to take responsibility for false assurances, faulty evidence, and mismanagement of the war.”

It is kind of neat how Clinton wants to take responsibility for her vote, but wants to put in a dig about the president, inferring that she was duped by the evidence she was given before she voted.

There were millions of Americans who heard the same evidence Hillary heard, and said no to the war. There were lots of Senators and Representatives who voted no also. Hillary voted to go to war.

What is bad about what she is saying now, is that even though she admits the president gave faulty evidence and has mismanaged the war, Senator Clinton still says the United States must “Finish what it started.”

Hillary Clinton, like John Kerry wants the American people to know that she is tough enough to be President, so she will stand by and wait, while more and more American troops and innocent Iraqis are killed and wounded. Hillary admits that she was given false information about Iraq and the reasons to go to war, but she says that is OK now, because we are in it. That means we stay in Iraq, and keep on killing and getting killed.

There are millions of Americans looking for an anti-war candidate, in fact the vast majority of Americans now feel the Iraq war was wrong, but for some reason Hillary Clinton can not say that. Clinton must feel that she has to be hard and stay the course. She had the opportunity to speak out for the millions of Americans who feel this war is wrong, but she has decided to represent the same people who back George Bush, and that is what John Kerry did in the last campaign.

The people who back this war and George Bush will never vote for Hillary Clinton. Now the millions of Americans who want this war to end will not be able to vote for her either.

America needs an anti-war candidate and Hillary Clinton has told us that she is not that candidate.
