9-11? .... They Could Have

The e-mails started coming about four months after the terrorist attack on our country back in 2001. People would write to me or send web pages about how that attack was really an inside job from Washington. I blew them off as crack pots.

Now five years later those e-mails are still coming, and a real movement has formed of people who believe that the facts the government has laid out just don't add up, and I guess I am starting to see their point.

The one that gets me the most is the way the towers in New York came down. It was perfect three times in a row. Three times, but only two buildings were hit. What are the chances of even one building collapsing perfectly into its footprint on the ground?

Now the Washington Post comes out with a piece titled, "9/11 Panel Suspected Deception by Pentagon." Dan Eggen a Post staff writer reports, "Some staff members and commissioners of the Sept.11 panel concluded that the Pentagon's initial story of how it reacted to the 2001 terrorist attacks may have been part of a deliberate effort to mislead the commission and the public rather than a reflection of the fog of events on that day, according to sources involved in the debate."

Thomas H. Kern, the former New Jersey Republican governor who led the 9/11 commission said, "We to this day don't know why NORAD [North American Aerospace Command] told us what they told us. It was so far from the truth..... It's one of those loose ends that never got tied."

There are books written about just how sloppy the 9/11 Commission was, and how they let our government slide on the facts. Funny thing about facts, they are hard to hide.

Now there are college professors giving physics classes on how it would have taken pre-planted explosives to have the World Trade Center buildings come down the way they did.

Try googling up, "Doubts about 9/11 attack." You will get 3,460,000 hits. Like "Former Asst. Sec. of Treasury Under Reagan Doubts Official 9/11 Story" or take a look at "9/11 Special Dutch Television Documentary."

There are list of credible people who have their doubts, and have put their reputations on the line by going public with them.

Do I think George Bush and Dick Cheney, and who ever is the power behind them could slaughter 3,000 Americans to gain the power they thought they needed to change America the way they think it should be changed? You bet! Heck they certainly have no qualms about killing thousands of American Soldiers and Marines, maiming thousands more, and killing and maiming tens of thousands, maybe hundreds of thousands innocent Iraqi civilians.

Remember every reason the Bush administration gave for us to attack Iraq proved to be false. We attacked a pitiful third world country that had no navy, no air force, and a poorly trained, badly equipped army. We used a "Shock and Awe" bombing campaign on a city of over five million civilians. Iraq never attacked us, nor did Iraq ever have the means to attack us. Could the people in the White House today kill 3,000 Americans to get their way? .... Yes, I believe they could.
