Take a Look at George Bush

President Bush says, "I'm sleeping a lot better than people would assume" and that his presidency is "a joyful experience." (From an interview with People Magazine)

Now I'm sure I not the first person to notice this, but George Bush looks good. The man has what many say is the most stressful job in the world, being President of the United States during a time of war, but from the way he looks, you would think there was little or no stress in his life.

If you look up pictures of Abraham Lincoln at the start of his presidency and then one from four years later, you can see that being President during the Civil War really took its toll. President Woodrow Wilson suffered, and you could see it in photos of him before and after World War I.

The same is true for Franklin Roosevelt during WW II, and Lyndon Baines Johnson during the Vietnam War.

Somehow all of these other Presidents took the death and destruction that was going on with the troops they commanded to heart. Every one of them physically suffered with the responsibility they had.

George Bush has found his presidency to be a "joyful experience." I don't know what the difference is, but I sure am glad that I am not one of the troops under President George W. Bush's command.
