Veterans Day Is Pretty Cool If You Are Into Old War Movies
by James Glaser

That's what we do to honor veterans now. We play every propaganda war movie from WWII on television, and we then put some flowers on the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier.

National Public Radio had a half hour call-in show about how we treat returning veterans from Iraq and Afghanistan. A half hour a year on how veterans are getting screwed by Washington makes Public Radio feel like they have done their part for the veteran.

One more thing. The Wall Street Journal had a story about the plight of homeless veterans.

Now we can wait another whole year before we have to think about those people again.
