Today Is The Big Day
by James Glaser

It's the big day for Barack Obama, but it might be a bigger day for all the rest of us. Today, Barack Obama will put his hand on Abraham Lincoln's Bible and swear to uphold and defend the Constitution of the United States of America. I sure hope and pray he does.

I probably don't have the great expectations that so many in America have for what Obama can do for our country, but I do hope that he defends our rights and our freedoms.

I am glad I don't have President Obama's job, and I don't see how his plan to borrow money to create jobs will pull us out of the fix we are in, but I sure hope he is right. The last time we were in this kind of trouble financially was back in the 1930s. Back then it took a world wide war to get us going, and nobody wants that again.

So, we will see what happens with Barack Obama's ideas, and where they will lead us. All of America is hoping and praying for the best.
