We Would Like To Thank All The Veterans Who Work For The Government or A Bank

It is a good thing Veterans don't get sick or have flashbacks about their time in combat or need their prosthesis adjusted on Veterans Day, because all Veterans Hospitals and Clinics are closed that day.

If the country really wanted to thank our Veterans, it would be the Veterans who got the day off, and then they could have had been dealing with government offices or purchasing stamps or mailing a package at the Post Office, or maybe they might have been able to apply for a loan at their bank without taking time off from work and losing pay.

But that is not how it works in America today. Now on Veterans Day, everyone working for the government gets a day off, and everyone working for a bank gets the day off. War doesn't make sense to me and neither does Veterans Day.
