Another Week of Health Care
by James Glaser
March 15, 2010

This past week Washington was on health care again, as they were the week before, and the week before that, and the month before that, and most of last year.

The only other thing that got any real coverage was the report that Israel is going to build 1,600 new condos some place in Jerusalem. The reason that made a headline is that it was announced while Vice President Biden was over there giving a pep talk to the Israeli people. It seems Washington is telling Israel they can't build new homes in Jerusalem.

Of course last week, like the week before that, and the month before that, and most of last year, millions of Americans were still out of work, more Americans were losing their jobs, many were losing their homes to foreclosure, and still others were filing for bankruptcy.

No, there were no reports about Congress or the White House doing anything about getting America back to work or doing anything to fix our economy.

It is going to stay this way until the Health Care Bill is passed or defeated. Then it will take months, maybe years to get anything started on the economic front. Like with health care, we will be totally sick of the talk about the economy and jobs, before anything is done.
