USAToday Poll: Obama Disapproval Hits 50% For First Time; 66% of Public Think ObamaCare Too Expensive and Too Expansive

Let's be honest here, the Republicans have disapproved of President Barack Obama and his policies ever since he was elected, right? So his approval or disapproval numbers have stayed about the same with that segment of the electorate.

So, who does that leave but the independent voter and the Democrats. Obama lost a lot of the independents when he bailed out Wall Street and started pouring tax payer money into the banks and insurance companies. More independents left his side when the President started buying car companies.

But now, with a disapproval number higher than an approval number, it is pretty obvious that President Obama is losing the backing of some of his base, the left side of the Democrat Party.

Try reading www.commondreams.org some time. It is a Democrat leaning, progressive site. What you should read are the comments people post in the discussion section of each article. So many of those people feel hurt and cheated by the policies of the White House. Many write about their hopes for this President and how those hopes have been dashed.

President Obama, with his foreign and domestic policies, is losing the backing of the very people who put him in office. Now, for the first time, the people who put Obama in the White House are voicing their disapproval, and his poll numbers show that.
