I Bet You Knew It

With our media in America and our government in Washington, it would be hard to know, but the truth is, one Marine or one Soldier a day is being killed on average in Iraq or Afghanistan. So far this year, 109 of our troops have been killed in Afghanistan, with an additional 25 being killed in Iraq.

I tried to find out how many of our troops have been wounded so far this year, but I think that is a secret. I did find the total wounded in each war from their start, and those numbers are 31,790 wounded in Iraq and 5,667 in Afghanistan.

Yesterday, on National Public Radio, they had a long story about how a couple of our Soldiers have a You Tube video in which they are doing a Lady Ga Ga dance routine. They went on and on about that video. They said nothing about the two Soldiers who were killed in Iraq.

It is pretty obvious that the American media is supporting President Obama's wars as much as they support President Obama. Maybe FOX News doesn't support the president, but then they support any war we have, any place we have it

About the only coverage of troop deaths in America comes from home town newspapers when one of the local boys or girls, men or women are killed in combat. That is it. Our wars are now out of sight and out of mind, but then I bet you knew that.
