This Is Sick

The United States military is certainly good at killing. They are good at killing enemy soldiers, and they are good at killing women, children, babies, the old, the infirmed, and every other kind of innocent civilian.

Sure, the Pentagon will say they are not trying to kill civilians, but the truth is that in every war, more innocent civilians are killed than enemy combatants. Even in supposedly "good" wars like WW II, far more civilians are killed than men in uniform on both sides.

You would think that any killing of another human being would bother every Soldier, at least a little bit. Of course, if you shoot a toddler, you are going to be upset, but what happens if you repeat that action over and over again? Maybe you get good at it, or maybe you get to the point that you like it. Kind of like target practice. Oh, does that sound like a stretch? Read on...

Now we have a General in charge of our troops who likes to kill and says we should be ready to kill anyone we meet. Here is how Tom Turnipseed tells it:

Successful professionals enjoy their work. The Obama administration has picked a successful and happy warrior in Marine Corps Gen. James N. Mattis to head the US Central Command. The command includes all US forces in Afghanistan, Iraq, the entire Middle East and Central Asia. Mattis has gloated that it is "fun to shoot some people" and "have a plan to kill everybody you meet".

Mattis has a strong resume in the military killing business. He was a lieutenant colonel in the US invasion of Iraq in 1991, directed the Marines in the 2003 invasion of Iraq, headed the US assault on the Iraqi city of Fallujah in 2004 and helped design the siege that destroyed the city and killed thousands of Iraqi civilians. Mattis also commanded the initial troops that went into Afghanistan in 2001.

Describing his feelings about the people in Afghanistan, General Mattis said, "... It's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them. Actually it's quite fun to fight them, you know. It's a hell of a hoot. It's fun to shoot some people. I'll be right up there with you. I like brawling."

Now tell me, is this General a walking recruitment poster for terrorists the world over? Does this General Mattis represent how you feel about the Afghan people? I hope not.

This sick man, hand picked by President Obama, is in charge of all of our troops in the Middle East. That tells me that Obama is every bit as sick or sicker than that general. Obama hasn't spent his life killing other people like that general has. You can understand that Mattis has been warped by combat. What is Obama's excuse?

The minute President Obama heard that General Mattis said "It's a hell of a lot of fun to shoot them, " Obama should have said, "Stop, no way is this man going to lead American troops." But he didn't, and General Mattis is now setting the tone for our troops going into combat. All I can say is, "This is SICK."
