Why Vote For Anybody?

I'm not talking about school board or township supervisor elections. I talking about elections where the people running claim to be Democrats or Republicans. First off, what is the difference?

Barrack Obama replaced George Bush, but almost everything remains the same. In fact if you look at our foreign policy, Barack Obama is to the right of where George Bush took us. Even George Bush didn't think he had the power to kill any Americans he wanted to, but Obama claims that power. To me, that is a step to the right, and a step toward Fascism.

So, if only Democrats and only Republicans vote for their Candidates, nobody should get over 50% of the vote, because neither Party has a majority. Independents are the closest to having that, and it is the independent voter who puts one candidate ahead of the other.

If independents refrained from voting in partisan elections, very few candidates would be able to say they have a mandate from the people.

If you are an independent voter, you must not agree with what the two major political parties are trying to do to America, at least that is why I am in neither political party. That said, how can I or any independent thinker waste their vote by pulling the lever for a Democrat or a Republican? By voting for either, you are endorsing the platform of the Party that candidate represents.

If a Senator or Representative wins with thirty some percent of the vote, he or she knows the vast majority of their district or state did not want them in office. They also know that it won't take much to remove them if they run amok.

So, if you are an independent thinker, and can see that neither the Republicans nor the Democrats have the answers to our nations problems, think about not voting for either Party. Every vote for the winning side puffs them up, and we all know they don't need any more of that.
