What Ever Happened?

With the fast pace of current events in the world today, some things fall through the cracks and we never do find out what happened. Some will tell you that those in Washington have a pile of leaks and new projects that they can give to the media the minute they hear of some story they don't want to come out. All of these piles of leaks and new projects are kept in a file cabinet, labeled, Cover.

I guess that America will attack Iraq about two days after any proof of wrong doing by the President or Vice-president comes out. They save the "big guns" to cover big stories.

Which brings us to our first "what ever happened" to finding out who bought all those shares of Harkin Energy from George Bush? Was it really the bin Laden family?

What ever happened to the investigation of the VP and Halliburton?

What ever happened to the investigation of the Secretary of the Army and Enron or for that matter, what ever happened to "Kenny Boy?"

What ever happened to the yellow cluster bombs and the yellow food packets? Did we change colors on one of them?

What ever happened to the DNA tests on that tall Afghan getting scrap metal, that we took out with a tiny unmanned plane and a rocket? Was that really Osama?

What ever happened to Osama? Wasn't this whole war in Afghanistan started so that we could get this mastermind of terrorism?

What ever happened to Mulla Omar, the guy with one eye that ruled Afghanistan for several years, refused to let America put in their oil pipeline and brought the wrath of America's oil lobby down on his head and his countries?

What ever happened to the investigation of the massacre of thousands of Taliban by the Northern Alliance while American troops watched?

What ever happened to those films that show anti-aircraft fire, before we killed all those people at that wedding. Donald Rumsfled said he saw them, why not us? Did they ever find that gun or the shell casings?

What ever happened to Major Schmidt, the pilot that dropped the bombs on the Canadian troops killing four and wounding many? Was he on drugs? The last I heard he was on vacation.

Hey now, what ever happened to Slobodan Milosevic? He was on the nightly news for weeks at the start of his trial and bang! He was gone. Last I heard he was winning.

In that same vain, what ever happened at Serbrenica and Jenin? There were some reports about Jenin, that said there was no massacre, but those reporting said that they had never actually been to Jenin. I think a lot of reports are like that. Yes it did happen or no it did not happen, by people that have no idea if their statement is true or not.

What ever happened to those troops we sent to the Republic of Georgia? Russia said today they might attack terrorists hiding in Georgia and it would be nice to find out about those troops. It would be nice to see a list of all the troops we have over seas, with constant updates.

What ever happened to the constitution and congress that Pakistan used to have, before they became friends with America and partners in our War on Terrorism?

What ever happened with George Bush's attempt to stop America from signing a treaty that stops torture? It is true, I read it several times and would like a update.

As long as we are on George, what ever happened to the idea that the President couldn't declare a war? According to our Constitution only Congress can. What did ever happen to our Constitution?

There are just so many stories that you hear about for just one day and then they are gone. Sure some of them are just unfounded rumors or leaks put out to cover other stories, but some of them are important or at least very interesting and someone should follow up on them. Stories that deal with America's Government should not be left to just die. If you see a particularly interesting one, write down the author and write and ask for an update. Media people are always looking for new material and if there is interest in a subject that they are familiar with, they are more likely to return to that for a follow up.
