George Bush Has Made Lots of Mistakes

Most Americans believe George Bush's War in Iraq was a mistake. Most think sending in so few troops in the first place was a mistake. Letting Iraqi citizens loot the country was a mistake, as was disbanding the Iraqi Army. No one now doubts that it was a mistake to leave all of Saddam's ammo depots unguarded. That has proven to be a big mistake.

Bush's Mission Accomplished speech was a mistake, as was leaving Afghanistan without finding Osama bin Laden.

George's Social Security Plan was a mistake, and so was the spying on American citizens without a warrant.

The really big mistake though, might be giving Iraq an election before the Iraqi people even knew what freedom and democracy was. Last week George was telling the country how great it was that the people of Iraq were voting. It was a mistake to say that before George knew what those people voted for.

The Christian Science Monitor, in a story written by Ilene R. Prusher, reports," Stretching newfound democratic muscle upon their first chance to elect a full-term government, Iraqis overwhelmingly threw their support behind religious parties defined along sectarian lines and ethnicity." Prusher goes on with, "A bloc of Shiite religious parties close to Iran has, according to results released Tuesday, attracted the largest percentage of voters."

George Bush made another mistake. Over two thousand American troops might have given their lives, so that an Iranian backed government could take over Iraq. It is very possible that over 17,000 American troops were killed and wounded, so that Iraq could become a Muslim State.

The Shiite Groups that sides with Iran got over 58% of the vote and "A Sunni Islamist alliance comprised of politicians who defended the insurgency campaign against US troops came in next, with close to 19 percent."

George Bush was backing Lyad Allawi. Allawi was painted as the man who could unite the country and crack down on terrorism. George's man got less than 14% of the vote. That was a big mistake too.

If we are lucky, Iraq will slip into a civil war, if not, it looks like Iraq will become an Islamic Fundamentalist State.

Another mistake George Bush made, is when he said we were headed toward victory in Iraq. Thousands of American lives ruined, tens of thousands of Iraqi lives lost and tens of thousands of Iraqi lives destroyed, so that Iran can become "best friends' with Iraq.

George Bush has made one mistake after another, and from now on, every American killed or wounded, will have been a mistake. We will have George Bush for another three years. How many more mistakes can we handle?
