What Are We Afraid Of?

Think about it. America has the most combat experienced veterans in the world. We should have, after all we have been fighting wars almost continuously for the last half century. We also have the most people owning arms in the world. Americans are armed to the teeth.

About the only country with enough troops to make an attempt at occupying our country would be China. Think about this. We have the most powerful military in the world, and we can't seem to win a war with either Iraq or Afghanistan, and they were two of the most pitiful countries on the globe when we attacked them. Remember, Iraq was under an arms embargo for the ten years before we attacked them. If the Unites States Army and Marine Corps can't successfully occupy and control the pitiful country of Afghanistan, nobody will be able to occupy America.

Washington tells us to worry about Iran getting a nuclear weapon. Think of this. We have thousands and thousands of nuclear weapons right now, and we can drop multiples of them any place on this earth. Every Middle East country knows that if they attacked us with a nuke, we would turn their sandy country into a sheet of glass with our retaliation.

So, what are we afraid of? China might have enough troops to occupy America, but they have no means of getting them over here. America has the most powerful military in the history of the world. Nobody is going to take us on in any sort of real war. Yes, we have to think of criminal elements like those who attacked the World Trade Center and the Pentagon. If we treated those people like the criminals they are, we probably would have that terrorist group taken care of.

Think of this. The terrorists who attacked the World Trade Center back in the 90's are all in jail, as are the terrorists who attacked the USS Cole. We treated those terrorists as criminals, and our law enforcement agencies, with the help of other countries, brought those criminals to justice.

Today we are trying to use military force to arrest or kill the terrorist group that attacked us. We have been doing that for six years now, and it hasn't worked. We know what works, law enforcement works, but law enforcement is cheap, and Washington wants to spend trillions of dollars by using the military.

Bottom line, talking about other countries wanting to attack America is a bunch of hooey. Every country knows attacking us would just invite disaster. However, politicians talking about other countries attacking us allows Washington to spend more money so corporations can rake in the profits.
