You Gotta Check This Out
by James Glaser January 28, 2008 I know, I know, I didn't like that "Swift Boating" of John Kerry either, but there is a web page www.vietnamveteransagainstjohnmccain.com on John McCain you really should take a look at. People on this page are saying some hard, negative things about the Senator, but the people saying these things are putting their names out for all to see, and they include a United States Senator and a U.S. Representative. The first two videos are well worth watching, and after you do, you will wonder where the heck the American media has been on this. Also, there is a column about Senator McCain, written by Colonel David H. Hackworth, a Career Army Officer. Hackworth was awarded 78 Combat medals during his 25 year military career, including the Distinguished Service Cross, the Silver Star, Bronze Star, and get this eight Purple Hearts. The Colonel raises the issue of whether or not John McCain is a real hero, or, as the Colonel says, "Is his 'war hero' status the creation of a very slick publicity campaign that plays on flag, duty, honor, and country?" Another section of this web page you should pay attention to is what the families of POWs have to say about Senator McCain. Not only did McCain help keep thousands of pages POW documents classified, he also kept anything dealing with himself under wraps too. He treated the families of those still lost in Vietnam horribly. Read this page, and then ask yourself if John McCain has any business running for president. If you do read it, send me an email and tell me what you think. |
