Let's Face It, It's The Republicans Fault

Never mind that the Democrats had the White House, a majority in the House, and a 60 vote filibuster-proof majority in the Senate. Never mind all of that, because it was the Republicans' fault that the Health Care Bill has failed to pass.

Now, with the election of a Republican Senator in Massachusetts, that filibuster-proof majority is no longer there. So, for sure now the Republicans are really at fault for not passing Health Care. Besides that, all the people in the know, like the pundits at the New York Times, agree.

Think about what I am about to say here: For a year the Democrats could have passed anything they could agree on. America could have had a One Payer Health Care just like Canada has. We could have closed down every evil insurance company, and let the federal government have total control. To do that required not one Republican vote.

The Democrat Party owned the whole game, but they couldn't agree an any plan at all. Nothing got passed when they had all the votes they needed. Now, because one Republican was elected in a special election, all the blame for the Democrats' failure has been shifted on to the Republican Party.

So, in Washington's way of passing the buck, Yes, it is the Republicans fault!

Post Script:

Have you ever wondered why it is so important to Barack Omama and the Democrat Party to get at least one Republican vote on this Health Care Bill? Could it be that if their health care plan fails miserably they would have the cover to say, "Hey don't blame us, they voted for it, too.

There is another view on this. Charles Krauthammer thinks Obama is looking at his place in history, and that he would like to be remembered as the father of universal health care in America. That very well could be true.
